10:30 - 12:30 Draw with the Sun! A children’s workshop with Anne Lindgard Møller
Come make your own sun drawings with paper, tape, creativity, light and time!
Inspired by the the artwork Melody in minor by Anne Lindgaard Møller presented in the current exhibition ‘We Circle in Darkness, Consumed by Light’ at Tromsø Kunstforening, children and young people from the age of 8 are invited to join the artist in a workshop where participants will be introduced to how to use sunlight as a tool to make images. During the workshop participants will cut and paste in paper and work with layering to create abstract or figurative collages. We will hang the collages in windows and use sunlight to bleach motives onto coloured paper. Participants can either bring collages home to bleach or have them bleach in the windows of Tromsø Kunstforening for approximately a month (possibly longer, depending on the amount of sunlight during May/June in Tromsø).
There is free admission and drop in at the workshop, warmly welcome!
13:00-14:30 - Exhibition tour with waffles & coffee
Join us for a guided tour of the exhibition, We Circle in Darkness, Consumed by Light, on its closing day. The exhibition curators will lead us through the artworks, ideas and techniques behind the exhibition. There will be coffee, tea and waffles served.
15:00 - Hand-crafted, screening curated by Britt Al-Busultan with works from Filmverkstaden
Meticulously handcrafted, printed, scratched, altered, hand processed, this programme shows a diverse collection of films that have been made by members of Filmverkstaden in the past years. Whether in portraying animals, people or landscapes, they all share a sense of immediacy and intensity that is so particular for hand made analogue film, each bearing a personal and particular signature of their creator.

16:30 Closing Performance: Ellen Vikström and Henrik Sørlid as part of their installation work ...WATER CUTS THE STONE THAT BINDS THE BRANCH THAT BURNS THE…
A ceremony to close a cycle of shadow and light, creation and destruction (a lot of scratches on the film loops, for sure!) – but also just another turn of the alchemical wheel of the seasons …the water cuts the stone that binds the branch that burns … the … stone that binds the branch that burns the water that cuts the…
To round off the months-long looping of the expanded cinema installation, the artists will present the work as a live screening concert, synthesising the noise of the projectors and the sounds of the mountain river where the work was shot and developed on site during the summer of 2024.
The festival and the exhibition closes at 17:00
