In a box belonging to Ingrid's mother, there were old dress-up dolls made from paper.
Her mother wanted to throw them away.
In Ingrid's box was a book about Catholic icons.
It's unclear why she got it. She was also considered throwing it away, but throwing books 'doesn't feel so nice'.
At a party, she got some marketing materials (which Ingrid is sure she would throw away when the offer period was over).
It then became a game to combine the different figures.
While Ingrid has been making collages, she has been thinking about icons and idols.
What we idealize. What the heroes of a hypercapitalist society look like. Who sets the norms and values that are preached.
